Join us at our concert at St. John Missionary Baptist Church!

This concert is in celebration of Women’s History Day, and it will feature two choirs, Sharing A New Song, and Joyful Voices of Inspiration. Each choir will each sing seperately, and then collaborate on a song at the end of the concert.

A Little History
Each year, SANS raises funds for scholarships to support the SANS chorus, and to help make us a better-balanced chorus—musically and in other ways, including age and ethnic diversity. We have an active scholarship fund to support the SANS mission. In 2004, the SANS Board began a quest, with the hope of collaborating in a scholarship effort to bring two singers to South Africa with SANS in summer 2005. Board members visited churches and other communities in Boston. St. John Missionary Baptist Church agreed to collaborate with SANS. Two singers joined SANS from St. John, sponsored by both communities, who continue to be part of the SANS community. Since then, members of SANS and St. John have connected in meaningful ways, and continue to maintain this relationship, important to both communities.
